I have known Andy since he was about 8 years old. I am delighted to submit a reference for him.
Andy is a very dedicated lad, his training and commitment with me over the years is of a very high standard,  he is now taking his experience into coaching. He has frequently watched my coaching sessions in the past to gain knowledge of coaching twelve to twenty keepers at the time.
I would be happy to use Andy  to help me during busy periods.
I expect Andy to obtain his full goalkeeping license and go on and work in the professional game.
I wish him well for the future.

Malcolm Webster
Professional Goalkeeping coach

I would just like to say a big thank you to Andy.

His training sessions are always fun and my daughter always looks forward to it.

He has plenty of patience and is always willing to help. Most importantly my daughter has improved immensely under Andy's training.

The goalkeepers that train with my daughter all look out for each other and help each other and there is a real camaraderie amongst them.

I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommended his training sessions to goalkeepers of all ages.

I have known Andy for 6 years now, and hopefully for many more, as I hope to keep in contact when I leave Cambridge. When I first got into Cambridge and Andy started coaching me, I had a very low self-esteem and never used to listen to anyone's tips or take compliments.

Since then, Andy has been the only one I've listened to and taken tips on-board and this has raised my confidence in football and the things I aim to be in the future. I have improved so much thanks to Andy and I'd like to thank him. Andy's training sessions have not only inspired me but everyone who attends them, even parents watching.

He is an inspiration to me and has inspired me to become a coach in the future. The dedication and commitment he puts into his work is unbelievable and clearly shows how much this means to him. Although everyone at training has a good chuckle, his coaching is very professional and at a very high standard. It's amazing how Andy can get bunches of roughly 20 people from age groups ranging from 7 to 25 to train effectively and under complete control.

Andy himself is a great guy, with a brilliant sense of humour, bringing joy to every session and making everyone feel comfortable and able to perform at their greatest possible level. A great characteristic to him is how much he works with people to get them to play to the highest level of football they can and make sure they are enjoying it.

I recommend Andy to anyone who wants to be a great goalkeeper. Thanks Andy and all the best in the future!

Andy as a coach inspires and engages everyone he works with. He was the 1st goalkeeper coach I'd had and brought alive my love of being between the sticks!

I owe a lot of my success to him and anyone to be lucky enough to have him as their coach will achieve great things provided they put the work in. I hope to one day coach female goalkeepers and be as much of a role model to them as he has been to me!

Zack has been training with Andy for 3 years, his ability and confidence has grown enormously within this time. Andy teaches in a fun way, he gets the message across and all the kids respect him.

We are very fortunate to have a Goalkeeping coach with the knowledge and ability Andy has, so close to home. Normally in local teams the Goalkeeper gets neglected, Andy brings the best out of the children and skillfully explains the science and importance of being a Goalkeeper from positioning to ball distribution and everything in between.

Zack is currently at Norwich Academy and Cambridge United have also offered him a place, alot of this is down to Andy's excellent coaching. Zack definitely looks forward to his training every week and quietly I am sure all the mums and dads look forward and love getting involved.

I would recommend any potential Goalkeeper to contact Andy and have a trial session.

Steve (Zackman's Dad)

'Very fun sessions whilst also learning alot. Positive and constructive comments that give his group boosts in confidence. Andy is an excellent coach who I would recommend to anyone.'

Mandy Jekkels ( EVY BOY'S MUM)

'Andy has consistantly shown the boys techniques , which have visibly improved their game. Andy always trains to the highest standard.'

Andy King is an inspirational trainer. He understands children and young people and knows how to get the best out of each individual. As a teacher myself I have been constantly impressed by his ability to hold the attention and meet the goalkeeping needs of a group children and young adults of different ages and abilities.

He does this by getting to know the kids coming to his sessions and using humour paired with his experience and knowledge of what is required for each individual to progress at whatever level they are at. He makes them all feel special.

My daughter Izzie loves his goalkeeping sessions and with his support  has made huge progess both as a goal keeper and as a person in terms of her confidence and self esteem.  Andy doesn't give up on kids even when set backs happen.

He sees what they can achieve and is relentlessly encouraging . He sets high standards and works hard to help each child reach their potential. His sessions are such fun and kids don't usually realise just how hard he is pushes them - they all want to do well for him. He well deserves all the success he has had with the many goalkeepers who are now playing for high ranking clubs as a result of his training.

Thanks Andy! Rachel Coomber

Andy is not only an excellent coach but an inspiration to the children he teaches.  Being a ‘goalie’ is not just about standing in a goal waiting for the next shot, it’s about confidence, assertiveness and learning to be part of a team and most of all it’s all about having fun!

My children have gained so much from Andy, his experience and teaching skills are second to none

I have been taking part in Andy’s sessions on both Thursdays and Saturdays for over two seasons now. There is a great atmosphere at every session he takes and I enjoy myself thoroughly with plenty of friendly banter within the group.

That said Andy’s coaching ability is such that when focus is needed he gets it, providing us goalkeepers with great session plans followed by helpful feedback to improve us.

Since training with Andy, I have been given the confidence to strive to achieve the very best I can be, with trial periods at several clubs including Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Norwich City . He’s an awesome bloke and a quality coach.

Cheers Andy!

I first started training with Andy when I was in the U12’s league when he came to the club to trained us. It was the best goalkeeping training sessions that I have been too as it was fun and enjoyable and you soon start to pick up the techniques straight away.

It boosted my confidence in being a goalkeeper, so when I was needed in goal I was up for it as I don’t often play in goal for my team. When I saw Andy advertising that the goalkeeper training will be starting up again a few years ago, I wanted to go back and train as his coaching techniques are brilliant and always fun. I have now been training with Andy since he started back up every Saturday, and I always look forward to the next training session the following week as everyone who goes gets along really well and have a great laugh while we train. As I don’t play in goal for a team Andy always tells me that I should do, and now I wish I had listened to him so I could have put my training into action.  Thanks Andy for the awesome training.

Matthijs has been attending Andy's goalkeeping sessions for a couple of years now and both Matthijs and I are convinced that Andy's training has contributed greatly to Matthijs' continued selection as the goalkeeper for the Cambs.and District Colts representatitive team (for 2 years running). Because of this, Matthijs can not always attend Andy's sessions, but he feels he is losing out.

He can't wait to go as often as he can and his sharpness and confidence always improve after attending Andy's sessions, as Andy gives plenty of praise to all the boys and challenges them to give him their very best, which they willingly do. Andy knows what he is talking about.

Harriet Nooteboom ( MATTY'S MUM )

Seán has thoroughly enjoyed his training sessions with Andy, he has a fantastic way with kids getting them to listen and respond. Seán has learnt a lot of skills and has benefited from one to one training. We can see a huge difference in his ability and confidence in his skills, he spends all week waiting for Sunday to come round so he can train with Andy!

It is wonderful for goalies to have a course like this available to them as they are often neglected within normal team training. I would whole heartedly recommend this course to anyone whose child is interested in goal keeping.

Fiona McGlone ( SEANY' MUM )

I have been goal keeper training with Andy for 3 seasons now. It's great fun with a very friendly group of fellow Goalies so there is plenty of banter flying about. Andy is a very approachable coach and is always willing to help with parts of goal keeping that your not so confident about. Cheers Andy.... If your a goal keeper come and join us!

Will 'WILLS' Holmes

Adam has been goal keeping for several years but since he started his Saturday training sessions with Andy his confidence and skill have improved. He enjoys the training because Andy makes it fun , all the boys help each other. Adam always looks forward to Saturdays.

Andy takes a very keen interest in how Adam has performed in his latest match and if he could help him in anyway to improve the performance he does.

I have known Andy for nearly 2 years, during which he has coached my daughter Scarlet at Cambridge United U14 Centre of Exellence and at his own weekend schools.

Since Scarlet has been under Andy's care she has progressed from Club player to Cambridge and from there she is now at Arsenal U16.

Her technical ability and perfomances on the field have improved out of recognition under Andy's guideance and advice.

Scarlet was recognised as the best Under 14 Centre of Excellence Goalkeeper in the Eastern region this past season and was awarded player of the match many times which is chosen by the opposition management.

Along with Andy's knowledge and experience he has the ability to teach and develop players. His style is quite lack and relaxed but effective in getting his coaching across. Scarlet has really enjoyed working with Andy because he makes it very enjoyable and fun which is the best environment to learn .

Many times during games Scarlet has been able to put into practise what she has learnt and is fully aware that she now has the confidence and ability to perform at the highest possible level she wishes to achieve thanks to Andy and his coaching.

Many Thanks Andy

I have known Andy for some years now and have found him to be one of the most inspirational coaches you could find.

He is a skilled confidence builder and his enthusiasm towards the sport is second to none. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who would like to further their career in goalkeeping.

JULIE + JAMIE (JIMMY)

Andy's sessions are always thought out and address a different area of goalkeeping everytime. No two weeks are ever the same which I believe helps to keep the students interest and leaves them expectant of the next one.

Although always well constructed and beneficial,Andy's sessions are presented in an informal and personal manner and this gives him a great rapport with all his students.

His passion for his goalkeeping is obvious and this transfers to all who attend, as training periods often overrun the scheduled period. This is because both the keepers and Andy don't want to finish, even on the coldest and wettest of winter evenings.

My son Ryan (Nossy) has been attending coaching sessions with Andy for five years now, from the age of 8.In this time he has progressed year on year without exception, as Andy has built on his strengths and improved his weaknesses, whilst maintaining a keen interest in his development away from the training field. Many Thanks.

JASON DAY  ( NOSSYS DAD )

Good fun training with Andy, with skills that come to notice without preasure. Jake looks forward to his goalkeeper training sessions as equal as eating chocolate.

TINY ALSOP  = ( FATHER OF JAKE ' RIGHTY ' ALSOP )

Benjamin (Benny Boy) has only been attending find us keepers for a few months now but I can see how much he enjoys the interaction with the other keepers and also the trust he has in Andy to teach him how to develop as a goalkeeper.

Benjamin plays in goal for Soham United u11 and as his coach I can really see an improvement in his attitude and confidence thanks to Find us keepers.

The best thing for me as a parent is to see how much fun the boys/girls have at training, they work hard and play hard because Andy makes it interesting an different but most of all fun.

Mike Dickens (Benny Boys Dad)

I really love training because everybody is so friendly and we are all there for the same thing to become better keepers but to have fun and a laugh while doing new and interesting stuff. Andy makes the sessions fun and I have learnt a lot in a short space of time!

Thanks Andy!!!!!!!!

Wil has only been with Andy since January but we have seen a great improvement with his Goalkeeping . Even his manager has commented on his performances.

It is great to have a goalkeeping coach in the area as I feel that Goalkeepers miss out on proper coaching that benefits them.

Andy has a really helped Wil since he started teaching him new skills and techniques.

Andy has a great attitude with all the kids and Wil thoroughly enjoys the sessions.

Samuel (JEFF) has been training with Andy for several weeks now.

He has brought out in Samuel, more techniques than he realised he had.

Samuel has grown more confident in himself. His abilities have grown so much, he’s not afraid to tackle any ball delivered.

To see Samuel (Jeff as they call him!) dive for the ball, move away from the goal line in order to take on forward players is a welcoming reassurance that Andy King and FIND US KEEPERS are teaching him all the right skills.

“JEFF” has also learnt how to dive correctly. More important, how to land without injury. After each training session Samuel is looking forward to the next.

ALL students get along new or old.

Banter between them is fantastic to hear. I highly recommend Andy King and Find us Keepers to anyone wanting to learn the art of being a great goalkeeper. Keep up the great work Andy and FIND US KEEPERS.

Lawrence Batters “JEFFs” Dad.

Chad (Charlie) has been going to Find-us-keepers for nearly a year now and to see the transformation in his confidence is phenomenal!!!

Andy and all of the gang get on fantastic!  Supporting and sharing experience with each other. Keep up the good work Andy!!!

Andy has that unique ability, to be able to make learning fun.

His coaching sessions are designed not only to improve skill levels but to build self confidence and maximise enjoyment.

His enthusiasm for football, and goalkeeping in particular, is obvious and is shared by the boys and girls who attend each week in all weathers.

Hollie really looks forward to training with Andy, her goalkeeping is constantly improving and she has made many friends. We could not recommend Andy any more highly.

Jona plays regularly in a strong team, but many parents have commented on his performances particulalry.
I feel that where I was watching someone playing in goal, since his work with Andy, I am now watching a "Goal Keeper"Jonah works very hard and is a sponge for everything he is taught by the caring and professional staff at the sessions.

He is the youngest by a long way but is never left behind and I am constantly amazed as to how at home he feels working and training with older players, he is not fazed in the slightest and this is a testament to a structure which caters appropriately for all abilities.

As a father, all I really want is for my son to enjoy what he is doing. It is abundantly clear that Find Us Keepers has found a  winning formula as Jonah never stops smiling, we are ALWAYS the last to leave and he cannot wait to get back next time.

Dan(AC) was the only person that turned up to one of Andy's open days. Andy carried on with the session regardless, where as many others would have gone home. The following Saturday Dan was keen to go and watch a training session, Andy was quick to let him join in , Dan has never looked back since.

Dan only took up goal keeping as a way of keeping fit.

With Andy's advise, tuition and guidance Dan has made it to being the teams No1 choice keeper and at last season's presentation received most improved player of the year.

Tony (AC's dad)

Thank you Andy for all your hard work and dedication to the young boys and girls that hope to make it in the football world.

Andy has been an inspiration to Megan in building her confidence and ability as a goalkeeper, his training sessions are fun, practical and thorough, he is attentive and able to engage with all the children and make all the sessions enjoyable, As a parent I find him he very approachable at all times and willing to discus any aspect of Megan's game, which is very helpful, the proof is in the pudding as Megan is always keen and happy to train with Andy.

If your child wants to play in goal, Andy is the man to see, I cannot recommend him highly enough and wish him all the success he deserves

Harry "Speedo" Stevens has been part of Andy's Goalkeeping School for two years now, in that time we have seen him develop from a keeper  who “couldn’t save anything to his left” into a confident young keeper who is prepared to have a go at saving from anywhere!.

Andy’s sessions are always well planned, varied and differentiated in order to cater for the wide range of age groups that attend and to ensure that he gets the best out of each and every keeper no matter what their age, size or experience.

He is always on hand to give advice to anyone who needs help (keeper or parent) and along with assistants Rob and Smiler the sessions are fun but with hard work and a clear goal for what he wants to achieve by the end.

I particularly like the way that he teaches them fair play and to respect each other and never fails to shake each and every keeper’s hand at the end of each session, an example that players in much higher leagues should embrace.

Speedo’s goalkeeping skills have and will continue to improve and his confidence will continue to grow as he proudly represents all of the teams that he is goalkeeper for: Wasps U13’s, Neale Wade yr 8’s and Arsenal Soccer School (Cambs and Lincs) U13’s.

Many thanks for Andy, Rob and Smiler and long may Find- Us- Keepers continue!!!!!
